25 Basic things to remember
1. Reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
2. Take enough food and go cheerfully.
3. Take a copy of the Bio-Data / Resume / CV together with application and keep it with you.
4. Boys should keep their normal hairstyle and be smart in appearance, preferably with shaved face.
5. Do not use excessive cosmetics.
6. Keep all certificates and documents in proper order in a plastic folder / file.
7. Better, do not use brand new dresses while attending interviews as the candidate may not be familiar with the new dress which might cause irritation.
8. Do not use excessive oil on the hair.
9. Use properly ironed cloths.
10. Do not use dresses of hard colours.
11. Be polite to the members of the interview board.
12. Do not exhibit any certificate unless asked for.
13. Get maximum information about the Institution which conducts the interview.
14. In Keralite / Indian atmosphere, it is better for females to use cotton sarees or churidars; avoid hard colours.
15. Knock at the door and say “May I come in Sir” or “May I come in”.
16. Reach the chair by the left side of it; when you are permitted to sit, say “Thanks”.
17. Answer the questions looking straight at the face of the officer. Be confident. Do not look here and there.
18. Keep the plastic folder / file containing certificate on your lap and not on the table.
19. Listen to the questions, think carefully and give correct answers in a clear voice.
20. If you are not sure about the answer say “I Do not know” Avoid incorrect answers.
21. Avoid jokes and loose talks.
22. A little smile on your face is good, But it should not be excessive and artificial.
23. Do not argue with the Interviewer.
24. Girls can accept shake hand, but In Keralite circumstances it is better that they should not give shake hand first to the Officer.
